Donations, Fundraising & Grants


Bedfordshire Down’s Syndrome Support Group is a registered charity which receives no government funding and relies totally on donations, fundraising and grants.

Any donation you make, no matter how large or small, will be hugely appreciated and will help us to continue to provide services and activities for our families.

The provision of the Support Group’s many services and activities requires a growing amount of funding and it now costs over £18,000 a year to run the Support Group, all of which comes from donations and fundraising.

We have been very fortunate in the kindness, hard work and enthusiasm of the many people who have run marathons, endured Tough Mudders, cycled from Luton to Brighton, trekked in the Sahara and Iceland, organised concerts, raffles, cake sales and football matches or simply bought raffle tickets or made donations.

We are eternally grateful to every single person who donates or raises money, be it £1, £100, £1000 or more. Without this generosity the group would not be able to provide so much for our families.

Our own fundraising team also work tirelessly and have organised Christmas Fayres, Dinner & Dances, a Ball, Quiz Nights and numerous raffles!
