Thank you to everyone who raised awareness  during Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week!

We would like to thank Empowering Education in Luton, for inviting us to come to their World Down’s Syndrome Day event on the 21st March and making us so welcome. Jenny and Leila gave a talk and presentation about Down’s syndrome and the Support Group’s many services and activities, thus raising awareness in the local community. It was a very successful and enjoyable event and we were delighted to have been part of the day.

Thank you too, to everyone who organised fundraising events for the Support Group this week.

Philippa, from Creative Days, ran a fantastic Sock Puppet Making Workshop, enabling many families to have a great afternoon of crafting fun and raising £244 for the Support Group. Fay’s Coffee, where the event took place, also kindly donated a further £100!

And Alice’s school had an Odd Socks Day, raising a further £144

This was all part of Philippa’s pledge to raise £250 for the Support Group. We would like to say a huge thank you to Philippa for taking the pledge and raising vital funds for the Support Group.

Thanks to everyone who fundraised or donated during the week, you helped us to raise an amazing £2,000!

We really appreciate the time, effort and generosity of everyone who donates or fundraises for us. Every amount, small or large, helps us to continue to provide all our many activities and services for our families.

If you would like to make a pledge to raise £250 for the Support Group or fundraise for us in anyway, please contact our fundraising team!
